ICE Out protest and march - 01/30/2026 - Denver, Colorado

Here are some of my photos from the Denver “ICE out protest on January 30 2026.
I took like ALOT more photos that these shown below. But these are the ones that I picked and curated and edited and have chosen to share.
The protest started at La Alma/Lincoln Park located between W 11th Ave and W 13th Ave and 12th and Mariposa St and Osage St, in Denver at 12 noon Mountain Standard time in Denver, Colorado.
I could not find shit for spots to park my car. After driving in circles for about 15 minutes; I found a spot about a 15 minute walk away from the south-east corner of the park. I only made it to the site at about 12:20 or so.
A large crowd had gathered in the park. The formed a deep ring around what was I suspected a make-shift stage and the folks speaking from it. I couldn’t quite see (too short) and wasn’t wanting to push myself inside.
After a few laps around the crowd, I noticed that a large group split off and was marching North-Bound on Mariposa towards Denver.
The march turned east-bound on Colfax Ave and marched to the Colorado State Capitol Building.
After a few quick speeches that I could not hear due to my tinnitus ridden ears; a smaller group took off and marched in a rather zig-zaggy route across Downtown, Capitol Hill, and North Capitol Hill.
In my observance; it did not appear as though the leaders of the marchers had a pre-established route. Every block or two, those at the front would briefly coalesce and decide upon the turn that the marching people would make.
The marchers were loud, vivacious, and motivated. They seemed to have nigh endless stamina: continuing to march with a unified voice, chanting, and standing together as a single bloc declaring their ideas and beliefs and demanding justice and social reform.
They were determined to make it to the next block and then the block after that: screaming and pleading for the people above and around them to hear their cries for compassion, humanity, justice, dignity, fairness, and human-rights.
Through the streets of Denver, the unified marches proclaimed in one unified voice:
"No hate, no fear, immigrants are welcome here"
"Fuck ICE"
"Fuck Donald Trump"
”Chinga la migra (translation: ‘fuck the immigration police’)
"It was murder"
"Who's streets? Our Streets"
"Donald Trump has got to go"
”Out of the bars; into the streets”
(OK, I may-have missed a some chants and protest shouts due to tinnitus or sum-kinda-weird-ADHD) (Look, I am a stills photographer not a … my-ears-sorta-work-and-hear-sounds protest chant-writer-downer-er)
I may-or-may-not-have lost track of time, distance traveled, location, bearing and street signs. But: I am pretty-somewhat sure that the protesters and myself walked for maybe 2-4 hours. At 2-3 MPH walking speed or-so, thats gotta be like idk 4 - 12 miles…. right? 12 seams like maybe too many, but surely it was some non-zero number of miles.
