Armed Protest - Demanding ICE accountability - Littleton Colorado - 03/07/2026

On Saturday March 07 2026 about 9 or so individuals gathered at the South East corner of Sante Fe Drive and Bowles Ave to participate in an armed protest.

The Front Range Carry Protesting group, who organized this protest, plan and communicate via a Discord server and occasional posts on Reddit.
Front Range Carry Protesting has the stated principles of being “Issue Based”, as well as commitments to being “Peaceful and Legal” and “Community Focused”

The group as a whole, were troubled by what they view as government overreach, illegal actions by ICE and the Donald Trump administration, violation of Constitutional rights, and a progression towards authoritarianism in The United States.

An hour or so ahead of the scheduled start time of the protest, several participants gathered in a nearby sandwich shop to introduce themselves, and discuss the challenges, necessity, optics, and logistics of holding armed protests.
Of special note was the legality of the open carrying of a firearm in the Denver Metro Area and its suburbs.
Most of the participants were meeting for the first time, having heard about the planned protest from a Reddit post.

The group then moved to their planned street corner, donning ballistic vests and holsters, and slinging rifles.

“I’m out here because I feel like the vision of America that I’ve been sold since I was a child is being stolen from me and stolen from my neighbors.” - Will

One of the participants, Will, stated that he believes that the American ideals of liberty, justice, welcoming of immigrants and its melting-pot nature are being betrayed.

Will, who was armed with an empty “bog standard” AR-15 pistol, expressed his intentions for being on that corner:
“... I am here explicitly to signal that people will resist [with] whatever means are available to them.”

Why the chamber flag?
“We are not here to intimidate or threaten or make anybody feel uneasy.  [A] chamber flag is the most obvious indicator that a weapon is clear”

“The Second Amendment needs to be reminded to the [Federal] government.  They're overreaching.  They are kidnapping people.”
“The government’s violating everybody's rights … I hate to say it, but [there has never been a] successful revolution without firearms or some sort of violence” - Riot

Another participant, who goes by Riot, who was armed with an AR-15 pistol and a Sig P365 pistol, compared recent DHS and ICE activities as analogous to the United States anti-Japanese Internment Camps during the Second World War.
“I wish people would remember what we learned in … elementary school.  We learned about the Holocaust every year.. Because it was that important…. What [The United States] is doing now is atrocious." - Riot

Riot showed off her recent art work.  A collection of loose live 5.56mm M855 “Green-Tip”, strung together and attached to her plate carrier with paracord.  Each casing was marked with a marker, reading “ICE” “Nazi” “Pedos” and “Faschism”

“I felt really radical making [the 5.56mm cartridge art piece], but I actually look at it as art”.

Riot applied superglue to the cartridge's primer to prevent them from being fired in a weapon.

While the protesters stood with their signs, two passersby stopped to express their contentment and support of the group's actions.  One of these, a woman by the name of (lorem ipsum) joined the protest.  Proudly tucking her shirt in to display a holstered Glock 19 pistol.

Many motorists honked in support.  Several more shouted from their windows in support of the protest.
Other motorists communicate their dissatisfaction with the bird (you know, the finger).  Some shouted homophobic epitaphs and insults directed at the protesters.

Ok that’s all the words I have time for now.
